Your Child Learns All The Skills They Need For Kindergarten

Our pre-kindergarten program gets your child ready to shine in Kindergarten. With our latest curriculum, STREAMin 3®, we customize lesson plans to fit your child’s needs, covering essential skills such as problem-solving and following directions. Plus, we keep the fun going with engaging, hands-on group activities that make learning an exciting adventure.

A Bilingual Learning Environment Spells Future Success

Learning two languages offers your child many future advantages, including enhanced cognitive development, academic achievement, improved memory, and better job prospects. We integrate Spanish into daily activities and provide specialized weekly lessons to foster bilingualism. We take great pride in starting your child on this path.

STEAM Promotes Critical & Creative Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) is crucial for early education today. With our Streamin3® lesson plans, pre-K kids dive into two monthly projects that introduce them to these essential concepts. This hands-on experience gives your child a head start for Kindergarten and sets them up for future academic success.

Mastering Mind-Body Connection Through Physical Exercise & Play

At age four, your child is perfecting gross motor skills like balancing, running, and climbing, which they practice daily. Physical activity is a key part of our lessons, with free play in the classroom and outdoor time at least twice a day. We also include daily yoga to keep them moving and teach techniques to focus and calm their minds.

Loving Lessons On How To Manage Big Feelings

Our skilled teachers undergo 40 extra hours of training in classroom management and helping children handle overwhelming feelings. They use Conscious Discipline® techniques, which focus on empathy and heart-centered guidance. We believe every child deserves calm, loving support to manage their big feelings during challenging moments.

A Family-Feel Welcomes You To Our Community

First Discovery Children’s Academy is more than just a school—it’s a family-like community. As children build friendships, parents and families connect, too. These relationships strengthen our staff and teachers, who are dedicated to creating a loving and secure environment where children feel at home and thrive.

Regular Outings & Visitors Keep Things Exciting

Throughout the year, children enjoy a mix of exciting field trips and engaging in-house visits. These experiences add variety and excitement to their days. Field trips include museum visits and plays, while in-house visits introduce them to community members like storytellers, musicians, and firefighters, offering a glimpse into different professions and enriching their learning.

Cleanliness Is Key When It Comes To The Health Of Your Child

Parents often praise the cleanliness of our classrooms, and we take great pride in this. A cleaning service deep cleans our school every weeknight, ensuring your child arrives in a pristine learning environment each day. We also involve students in daily cleaning routines, teaching them to tidy up after play and activities. We believe that maintaining cleanliness is key to your child’s health and an important life skill.

Healthy & Balanced Meals & Snacks At No Extra Cost

Following CACFP best practices, our in-house chef prepares nutritious meals and snacks. In our peanut-free environment, we serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks packed with fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods to give your child the best fuel for a day of play and learning.

The Ultimate in Safety & Security Measures Protect Your Child

Your child’s safety is our top priority. Our secure property features a fenced-in yard and restricted access for outside visitors. Only families and staff have key fobs for entry. Additionally, security cameras monitor the property and surrounding area around the clock for extra peace of mind.
